Derricks Comissioning Ceremony

On March 19th Derrick had his comissioning ceremony at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was a lot of fun to see and one of quorum of the 70, Lance B. Wickam, performed the oath of office. It was a really great experience for our little family. Avarie Kept clapping and squeeling when everyone would clap for their family member. It was really funny. I am so proud of Derrick and his accomplishments.

Moving

Well we found out kind of when we will be moving and it is a little earlier than we thought. We will me moving in the middle of september. The closer we are getting to this move the more excited we are getting. We are going to go down in August and look around and hopefully find somewhere to live. I am sorry I have not updated lately. I will post some pictures of Avarie hopefully tomorrow.

Selling the house

Now that we know we are moving we have to sell our house ugh! I am a little nervous about that one. So if any one knows someone that want to buy a good started home for a reasonable price let me know and let them know. It is in the north Ogden area.

He is in to Baylor

Yes, we are moving to San Antonio, TX. Derrick found out 2 days ago that he was accepted into Baylor university!!! He is so thrilled. I am so proud of you honey. We wont be moving until the end of september first of OCtober. we dont have a whole lot of details yet, but we are so excited. The army will move us down there and then Derrick will get a salary that is more than I make now so I will get to stay home and play with Avarie!!!

He's In

We have heard back from the first school! The University of Utah has accepted Derrick into there Doctoral of Physical therapy program. We are excited! He is supposed to have his interview with our first choice Baylor university on saturday so hopefully we will have a couple of yes answers so we can make an informed descision as to what is best for our family and for his education.

Interview with Baylor

Derrick got an interview with Baylor!!!!!! we are not sure when it will be exactly because it actually is a phone interview. We are both excited!!

Interviews

Derrick has heard from the University of Utah. He has an interview there. He will be interviewing at Regis in Colorado and then the U of U in the next couple of weeks. We wont hear from Baylor until the end of february or the first of march about interviews, but we are getting options.
