Columbus, GA

A week after graduation we picked up and left San Antonio for Columbus, Georgia! It has been a really fun experience. We love our new home and our new city. Derrick was given 10 days home with us to get the apartment set up! It was great having him home!

We made slime and the kids loved it!

The kids are adjusting well and loving the new apartment!

Reid needed two bandaids for his face one day. It was pretty funny!

our pets are adjusting nicely. Sadie loves the windows especially when the curtains are closed.
Reid had to have one of daddy's "hats" it is so cute! he adores his dad!

Our new apartment is wonderful. It is a beautiful area with amazing trees everywhere and everything is so green!!
Parking lot area of the complex. I feel like were are in a forest!
 View from our building

our building and our porch is screened in which is so nice!
beautiful trees!!! They are everywhere. If you look at the cars you can see they are at least 30 feet tall. Everywhere you drive the roads are surrounded by these trees.

We love this area and are excited to do more exploring soon. If you area ever in the area you are more than welcome to visit! We love visitors!!

Derrick's Graduation

YAY!!!!! He is officially done!!!! He will take boards in October. We are so excited and proud of Derrick for this major accomplishment and everything he has done for our family!! Here are some pictures from his graduation day.

Derrick's parents were able to make it and celebrate with him. It was great having them here!
Reid didn't want to be in any of the pictures

Trip to Utah

The last week of July we went to Utah on a spur of the moment trip with a friend. We packed up our kids and left our husbands and drove to go visit family for a week! It was such a fun trip except for the drive home (will tell later in the post).

First we stayed with the McArthur family. Mathew (Derrick's youngest brother) was getting home from his mission. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of our trip unfortunately, but here are a few

Ashlynn and Reid holding hands at the airport. So Adorable!! He loved his cousins.
Waiting for Uncle Matt to get off the plane
Reid loved his Uncle Matt and Uncle Justin. Here he curled up next to Uncle Justin and Fell asleep. His Uncles are so good with him and the the other kids!!

Next we were at Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's house in Logan. The kids had a blast!!
Left: grandma took them to a playgroup her ward was doing and they were playing in a stream so grandma improvised and of course they had to have the swim caps on.

 At willow park with grandma

With Aunt Dayna. He loved her to death! This is one of my favorite pictures I think!!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Scott. The trip worked well for us were at my parents house for my dads birthday it was so fun to be there with him!

Here is an adorable video of my little fishes! Sorry it is a little long but it is cute!

This is Avarie's car/bed hair that occurred on the way home from Utah very nice!
Ok so the trip home was interesting. The first day we ended up leaving Utah way later due to extenuating circumstances and Reid got cellulitis in his leg and had to be put on antibiotics. It was a little scary I looked down and his foot and ankle looked like he had elephantitis. It was really swollen and sore! We ended up running up to the ER I used to work at an had one of the doctors there look at it and we got him an antibiotic. Then we ended up during the drive getting pulled over by a cop and my GPS took a new and very slow way. It was scary. It was dark the whole way through the area that the GPS had us go through. There were deer everywhere some running out in front of the car. Also there were various other animals in the road and birds flying up out of no where and scaring us to death. We ended up driving a really long time to get back and didn't get home until about 3 AM. It was crazy! The trip was well worth and we had a great time seeing our families!
