Surgery

In April I had minor knee surgery. It was going to be a little rough with the kids so my grandma came out to help!! she was a huge help!! I would not have survived the first week without her. While she was here my coudin came up from houston to visit and see grandma too. She brought her two adorable little girls. The kids all had such a great time together!

Christensen Visit

                       While in Utah we were also able to spend part of the time with my family. It was a
                                    great week and the kids had a great time with their grandparents.

McArthur Utah Visit

While at the  McArthurs Macy our niece had her first birthday. It was so great to be there for this milestone. I was also able to make the cake for her party which was so fun!

                  Derrick's Dad wanted to take the kids fishing while we were there so they went to a
                          fish farm in Ogden and they had a blast and were able to catch some fish

St George Visit

While in Utah we first stopped in St. George to spend some time with Derrick;s Grandpa for the Easter Weekend. Almost all of Derricks dad's side of the family were going to be there. We were able to go to the big easter cook out at his grandpas farm! it was so fun for Avarie and Reid to spend easter with their cousins.

Drive to Utah

The first part of April we headed to Utah to visit our families for two weeks we had a wonderful time and it was such a pretty drive. We headed a different way this time because we wanted to stop in St. George to Visit Derricks Grandpa McArthur. We ended up going through Arizona which was fun and skirted Grand Canyon National park. It was so fun to see a new area this time. The drive went very smoothly until we hit albuquerque NM. Just out side of albuquerque we got stopped because of an accident on the freeway and were stuck there for almost 3 hours at a dead standstill. luckily our kids were asleep for most of that time. We had decided to drive straight through so we were worried especially when we got stopped but they were so well behaved. Reid only stated to melt down the last 30 minutes of the 24 hour drive. We were so impressed with them. Here are a few scenic pictures from the drive!

Derrick Fishing Trip

Derrick went on a deep sea fishing trip this weekend down to Corpus Chriti with a bunch of his classmates. It was a good opportunity for him to get away and have some fun. They caught a bunch of fish and were able to take it to a resteraunt and have them cook it for them. He seemed to have had a great time!!

Spring Break

One evening we decided to go out to a pizza place here in San Antonio that has these gigantic pizzas for fun. We went with our great friends that Allreds. The kids got a huge kick out of it. Avarie's face was priceless unfortunately I didn't catch that with the camera, but here is the 42 inch pizza we had.
