New Pics

Here are some random pictures to update everyone. Ignore the dates on the pictures. Derrick's Camera has the date wrong in it and I just realized it today.

These two pictures are from today at our complex just walking around. Avarie climbed on the rocks and was having fun.


This was a picture of Avarie a few days ago when she wanted to take the dog for a walk. She was being silly as you can probably tell.

This is a picture of Avarie and Derrick during conference. They both aparently were really tired that day. It was cute!!
Avarie fell asleep in her daddy's arms this day at the hotel. It was just really cute. She was so excited when he came home from doing everything on base that day.

This is Avarie playing and being cute at the playground they provided at the hotel we were staying at. She was having a lot of fun.

New Home

We are now officially in our new home. We were able to move into our new apartment on Wednesday. It has been an interesting week. The moving company that moved us broke 6 of the 8 legs off of my antique table which was devistating. Derrick and I put a lot of time into refinishing the table and reapolstering the chairs. It was a little hard to see all of the pieces of the legs. They also broke a stand for TV trays, our TV stand, our head board has a chunk of wood out of it, and Avarie's toddler bed had a slat broken out of the headboard. Luckily they have to pay for it all to be replaced. It was a little hard the day we moved in to find so many of our things broken, especially the table my grandmother had given us and we had refinished and put a lot of time into. Last week I found a new table that is not an antique until we are done moving and then Derrick said we would be able to find another antique table or try to get mine fixed at that point. They will be delivering it on Tuesday.
On a happier note we are loving texas. It is a little difficult to navigate through, but we are starting to get used to that and around our apartment everything we need is pretty close. Derricks commute will only be about 20 minutes or so. He is excited about his new oportunity. Derrick starts officers training officially on Tuesday.
I will post pictures of the apartment soon, but I would like to get Avarie's big girl room done first. We miss everyone a lot and hope everything is going well back in Utah.

Sea World

We went to seaworld last week to let Avarie out of the hotel and stretch a little bit. She loved the trip. She was able to feed the sea lions and dolphins and saw a shows with both and thought it was hilarious.

Cinderella dress

Here are some of the updated pictures from the past few weeks. To start with Avarie's Cinderella dress. She loves cinderella or lella as she calls her. We got her this dress at the disney store for halloween and because the whole drive to San Antonio she did not throw a fit or cry once. Also there are some pictures of Derrick in his uniform with his little cinderella who now thinks anyone in an army uniform is daddy.

New Pics

We have gotten a few good pics with our phones over the last few days so we thought we would post them, since we can't upload the ones from our camera until we can get to the cords on Wednesday. Yes, we were smart enough to keep our camera from getting packed, but then forgot to get the cords.



This one is Avarie when she first put on her "Lella" dress in the hotel. As you can tell she is very excited. She took dad out in the hall and was walking up and down the hall, giggling the entire time.

Being in a princess dress she had to do some twirling.

As some of you know, we went to Sea World the other day. All of the pictures we took while we were there are on our camera, but I got this picture on the ride back to the hotel. We all had a blast and Avarie loved being able to feed sea lions, pet dolphins, and especially loved the show with acrobats, divers, and dolphins and belugas doing tricks.

San Antonio

We are here kind of. We arrived a few days ago, but cannot move into our apartment until Oct. 7th. We are in a hotel until then. Today we went to the river walk and avaried loved that. She had so much fun watching the ducks, pidgeons, and the river boats. She kept wanting to ride the boat or get into the water. It was a pretty place though. We also went to the disney store and Avarie got a Cinderella dress and glass slippers because we did not have one fit or even crying the whole drive down here. When we got back to the hotel room she had to put on the dress and the shoes and the had to dance with her prince (daddy). She was twirling and kept looking at herself in the mirror and laughing it was really cute. I have some pictures, but our cords for a our cameras are in storage waiting for our apartment to be ready. I will post some pics later when we have the cords.
Derrick will be reporting on Monday officially. He had his active duty swearing in yesterday which was fun to watch and meet some of the other students that will be in the program with him. We are so proud of him and his abilities. sorry for the long post but I thought I would catch up a little bit.

Moving

Well tomorrow is the big day. We will be moving to texas. The movers are packing up our things in the truck as we speak. This has been a little bit hard, sad, and exciting for us. Hopefully we will find joy in our now place of residence.
