Father's Day

Happy Father's Day yesterday!!!! Derrick got a Puppy!!! Her name is Kaelen and she is the cutest little dog and so sweet. She is half Whippet ( a medium sized greyhound) and half Boarder collie. Derrick is loving having her. A picture of her will be added to this post soon.
For Father's Day we went to Derrick's Parents house and then Went to my parents house and played. It was great fun.

Avarie

Avarie went to the doctor last Tuesday and she weighed in at 17 lbs 4 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long. She is a happy healthy baby. We went over to Tori and Jason's (Derrick's Sister and her husband) to play on Saturday because Avarie was sick on playing with just mom and dad. She had lots of fun with her cousin Kaylee and they even got to play in the bath tub together. It was so cute!!!
Avarie is now sitting up on her own for longer periods and rolling all over the place. The other day she decided she wanted her toys (I guess I was not paying close enough attention) so she rolled over to her basket of toys and dumped them out and started playing with them. I think we may have a little handful on our hands when walking or crawling starts!!!!

Avarie's Newest

Avarie has now started to laugh more and more. it almost sounds like a machine gun when she really gets going. She also has figured out how to blow bubbles in her food. I love having green beans or squash all over my clean clothes. I will add some pictures to this hopefully tomorrow. She has also figured out how to sit herself up from a semi propped up possition. She has turfed it a couple of times trying to sit up more and gone over forward to far, but she is doing really well. She is growing like crazy!!!

Derricks 24th !!!!

Derricks birthday was on Monday, May 5th. He has had the week off so he was able to take it easy, Kind of. He sat out the whole morning working on a lawn mower that one of my cooworkers gave us for free (It was not working at the time). He tinkered with it until almost 2 and then finally got it working after replacing some of the parts and cleaning others. That evening we had a Cinco de Mayo party with my family and his family. It was great fun!!!

St. George

Well Derrick, Avarie, and I went to St. George last weekend and Stayed with Derrick's grandparents. They had not seen Avarie yet so we decided to go down to the warm weather, let them see Avarie and Take it easy. Avarie hammed it up quite well smiling, laughing and babbling to them. It was really cute. Avarie was also able to go to Derrick's grandfather's farm and see some bunnies, chickens and a cow. Avarie loved the bunnies. She kept sticking her hand out and petting the bunny and then would squeal. The chickens she got scared of because when Derrick's grandpa caught one for her to touch they all flew up and started making noise. It freaked her out a little bit. We forgot the camera so I dont have any pictures of it, but it was great fun!!!
